Your account is your main hub. From here, you create templates, open the editor, share designs, and download finished packages.

A blank template is a clean and safe foundation for a design where you want to decide on every section yourself.

The template name is not just a label in your account. It also forms the basis of the installation package name for Joomla, which is why it pays off to choose a simple one.

You open every custom template from your account. The editor loads its last saved state and prepares the tools that correspond to its content.

You can change the working name before exporting. The content, layout, and appearance of the template will remain unchanged.

A duplicate is an independent private copy. It comes in handy as a safe branch before a major design change or as a base for another project.

Deleting frees up space in your account, but it is not a move to a trash bin. Before confirming the action, make sure you really won't need the design anymore.

You can offer a completed custom template to others as a shared base. Doing so does not give anyone access to edit your original.
