Hello,

Hello I’m diving into the OPC code, joomla 3.4.8/vm3.0.12 (latest version)/OPC from nov-2015

The problem is with the dropdown boxes ‘<select …’ in default_address.php in the template override directory. The dropdowns are not visible. The remarkable thing people can order products, that is probable the reason that I didn’t noticed it. Or it is occurred after a update of virtuemart or any other plugin…

For instance the field virtuemart_country_id, code in default_address.php:

} else if($_field['name']=='virtuemart_country_id') {
$_field['formcode']=str_replace('<select','<select onchange="update_form();"',$_field['formcode']);

HTML result:

<select style="width: 210px; display: none;" class="vm-chzn-select required chzn-done" name="virtuemart_country_id" id="virtuemart_country_id" onchange="update_form();">
<option value="">- Selecteer -</option>
<option value="21">België</option>
<option value="81">Duitsland</option>
<option selected="selected" value="150">Nederland</option>
</select>

The problem is “display:none”. BUT I CAN’T FIND WHERE THIS ATTRIBUTE SET???? This driving me mad. What is the condition to set “display:none”????
The same problem occurs for name="title" dropdown with the value mr./mrs.

Is somewhere added in the jQuery? But were?
The default_address.php is executed that is for 100% sure. But I can’t find how. I can’t find a require with (……/default_address.php)

It is not a problem for me to solve it by myself, but can anybody help me further with this. Or telling me what I'm doing wrong.

    Hi Nico, Try to disable "Use jQuery chosen for dropdowns in FE" feature in the Virtuemart configuration > "Checkout" tab and let me know if problem persist. Thank you.

    Ok, this helps! Thanks.

    But what is the reason that I have to disable these jQuery? Why is this conflicting? I was never come up the idea to disable this jQuery feature, because the rest is working.

    And I'm also not thinking in this direction because I can't oversea what the consequences are of disabling this library. Is the rest still working correcly?

    Chosen is a jQuery plugin that makes select boxes much more user friendly. https://github.com/harvesthq/chosen/releases
